“Threads”

MAA CALL FOR ARTWORK

The Monroe Arts Association is accepting images for possible display in our next show “Threads” This show will feature needlework/textile creations from local artists. We welcome any work that involves stitching: knitting, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and other needle work are welcome. This show will run from February 1st through March 24th.

Guidelines for Eligible Artwork:

·         Any stitching medium is welcome.

·         Any work must be ready for hanging; quilts should have rods or other hanging mechanism.

·         Work is your original work.

·         Each artist is permitted to show one or two pieces.

·         Work is in excellent condition.

·         Work has not been displayed previously at the Monroe Arts Association.

·         Wrapped canvas is okay.

·         Artists may choose to sell work that is on display in the gallery. MAA takes a 30% commission on gallery sales. Any works sold will be exhibited until the end of the show.

Submission Guidelines:

·        Artists should send photos of proposed work to MAAgallerydirector@gmail.com by January 23rd . Notifications will be made by January 21st.

·        Works will be dropped off From January 23rd through January 30th.  Specific hours will be posted when you get the acceptance email.

.    We reserve the right to select works for display based on space and appropriateness.
